The ammonia dissociator is used to produce a mixture of 75% H 2 and 25% N 2 by dissociating ammonia gas NH 3 . This mixture is used in heat treatment furnaces to deoxidize or prevent oxidation of metal .

The ammonia splitter is equipped with a stainless steel heat exchanger that preheats the ammonia before it comes into contact with the catalyst, where the reaction takes place.
