Rolling train

Use: the TLN series rolling mills are particularly suitable for industrial processes (continuous production).

Type: the configuration is of the multiple-head rolling mill type (n°4 for TLN 4 and n°6 for TLN 6). Each head has a pair of rollers with adjustable opening/closing.

Processing: the main application is the rolling/reduction of wire for the production of flat wire. On request, using rollers with a special profile, engraved strips can be produced.

Structure: the structure of the rolling mill is a load-bearing frame in sturdy electro-welded metalwork with double-layer oven painting. The roller supports are in spheroidal cast iron. Rolling rollers

: the smooth rollers are made of special tempered and ground steel with a surface hardness of ≥ 61 HRC. The rollers are mounted on a cantilevered shaft to facilitate replacement.

Roller shaft bearings: they are of the full-complement roller type with grease lubrication.

Roller adjustment: the rollers are closed and opened manually with a register handwheel with a precision of ± 0.01 mm.

Transmission to the rollers: the rolling trains have a main gearmotor with oil bath lubrication. Other angular transmissions distribute the motion to the rolling rollers via chains and helical tooth gears.

Control: the rolling trains are driven by an electric motor with variable speed via an electronic vector inverter. An electric control panel is provided that includes all the operating devices.

Reels: the rolling trains are equipped with a horizontal motorized winder and an idle unwinder with an interchangeable vertical reel (internal ø 150 mm, external ø 265 mm and height 245 mm), both equipped with adjustable clutch.

Protections: safety protection devices are provided (in compliance with current and international standards – CE marking) including: anti-intrusion cover for the rolling area and emergency stop button.

Accessories included: the rolling trains are equipped with a series of smooth rollers, electric water pump for roller cooling, spray cooling system for the strip.

Optional accessories: the rolling trains can be equipped with a linear counter for rolled strip, felt bars for roller cleaning, series of rollers for rolling engraved strips or special profiles.
