Description
Use : the Lafil series rolling mills are particularly suitable for laboratory work, for material testing and in the craft sector.
Type : the configuration is of the two-wire castle type.
Processing : the main application is roughing + finishing of wire.
Structure : the structure of the rolling mills is a load-bearing frame in sturdy electro-welded metal carpentry with double-layer oven painting. The cylinder castle uprights are made of steel obtained from sheet metal.
Rolling cylinders: the cylinders are made of special alloyed and ground steel with surface hardness = 61 HRC.
Cylinder bearings : the bearings, mounted on the mobile guides, are high-resistance bronze sliding bearings with automatic forced closed-circuit lubrication with oil recovery.
Cylinder adjustment: the cylinders are closed and opened manually with a control handle.
Transmission to the cylinders: the motion of the cylinders is via homokinetic cross mechanical joints.
Gear reducer: the rolling mills have a helical gear reducer with oil bath lubrication. The transmission of motion from the electric motor to the reducer occurs with trapezoidal belts.
Control : the rolling mills are driven by an electric motor with fixed speed, or double speed (Lafil 160 and 175 AF models). An electrical control panel is provided on board the machine which includes all the manoeuvring and control devices.
Reels: the rolling mills are equipped with a vertical motorized winder for wire. Upon request, it is also possible to provide a vertical idle unwinder for wire.
Protections : accident prevention protection devices are provided (in compliance with current and international standards – CE marking) including mechanical anti-intrusion grids for cylinders and pneumatic barriers for emergency stops.
