Rough rolling mills for plate

Application: The rolling mills of the LS and LF 500 series are particularly suitable for heavy industry applications (continuous production).

Type: the configuration is of the slab roughing machine (LS version) or bar roughing machine type (LF version).

Machining: the main application is roughing + finishing of sheet (LS version) and roughing + finishing of bar (LF version)

Structure: the rolling mill structure is of the rigid monoblock type in electro-welded steel with double-layer oven painting. The cylinder castle uprights are in cast steel.

Rolling rolls: the rolls are made of special alloyed and ground steel with surface hardness = 64 HRC (plate), 61 HRC (bar) with internal water cooling via rotary joints. On request, it is possible to supply plate processing rolls with a mirror-polished surface; hard chrome-plated surface with thickness

Cylinder bearings: the bearings, mounted on movable guides, are high-resistance bronze sliding bearings with automatic forced closed-circuit lubrication with oil recovery and water cooling circuit.

Cylinder adjustment: The closing and opening of the cylinders occurs automatically and motorized with a viewer and programmer of the quota and sequence of steps.

Transmission to the cylinders: motion to the cylinders occurs via mechanical constant velocity joints with connecting rods (LS version) and constant velocity cross joints (LF version).

Gear reducer: The rolling mills have a helical steel gear reducer with oil bath lubrication. The transmission of motion from the electric motor to the reducer occurs with V-belts.

Control: the rolling mills are driven by an electric motor with fixed speed, an electric control panel is provided which includes all the maneuvering and control devices. On request, it is possible to provide a variable speed control via an electronic vector inverter.

Protections: accident prevention protection devices are provided (in compliance with current and international standards – CE marking) including: mechanical anti-intrusion grids for cylinders, pneumatic barriers for emergency stops.

Accessories: the rolling mills are equipped with an electric water pump for cooling the cylinders and bushings (all versions).

On request, the rolling mills (LS version) can be equipped with a spray plate lubrication system and felt bars for cylinder cleaning.
