Roughing rolling mills for sheet and wire

Use : the LS and LF series rolling mills are particularly suitable for processing in material testing laboratories, in the craft sector, in industry (continuous and discontinuous production)

Type : the configuration is of the plate de-rusting type (LS versions) or wire roughing type (LF versions)

Processing : the main application is roughing + finishing of sheet (LS versions) and roughing + finishing of wire (LF versions)

Structure: the structure of the rolling mill is made of a load-bearing frame in sturdy electro-welded metal carpentry with double-layer oven painting. The cylinder castle uprights are made of spheroidal cast iron.

Rolling rolls: the rolls are made of special alloyed and ground steel with surface hardness = 64 HRC (plate), 61 HRC (wire). On request, it is possible to supply plate processing rolls with mirror-polished surface; hard chrome-plated surface; with internal water cooling via rotary joints

Cylinder bearings: the bearings, mounted on movable guides, are high-resistance bronze plain bearings with automatic forced closed-circuit lubrication with oil recovery (and optional water cooling circuit).

Cylinder adjustment: the cylinders are closed and opened manually with a flywheel.

Transmission to the cylinders: the motion to the cylinders occurs via homokinetic mechanical cross joints.

Gear reducer: the rolling mills have a helical steel gear reducer with oil bath lubrication. The transmission of motion from the electric motor to the reducer occurs with a mechanical joint.

Control: the rolling mills are driven by an electric motor with fixed speed, an electric control panel is provided which includes all the maneuvering and control devices. On request, it is possible to provide a variable speed control via an electronic vector inverter.

Aspi: on request it is possible to equip the rolling mills with: (LS versions) hydrostatic reversible winder for strip, horizontal motorized winder for strip, horizontal idle unwinder for strip; (LF versions) vertical motorized winder for wire, vertical idle unwinder for wire.

Protections: accident prevention protection devices are provided (in compliance with current and international standards – CE marking) including: mechanical anti-intrusion grids for cylinders, pneumatic barriers for emergency stops.

Optional accessories: the rolling mills (LS versions) can be equipped with: strip pressure presses at the cylinder inlet; spray plate lubrication system; electric water pump for cooling cylinders and bushings.
